Sephora Xmas Wishlist

I don't know about you, but I really wish the UK would hurry up and get Sephora back! It's nice they now ship to us, but we can't buy everything :( Items such as nail polishes or the Sugar lip balm below won't be shipped internationally.. sad times! But I will get it somehow!
There's still a lot I want and these things have been sitting in my basket for a while now!
There's still a lot I want and these things have been sitting in my basket for a while now!
First there's the Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-hour blush in peaceful; I've been wanting one of these blushes for about a year now and I love this warm orange/coral shade.
Next up is the Anastasia Brow Wiz in Auburn, since about a 8 months ago when I actually started paying attention to my brows; I've wanted this. So many Beauty bloggers rave about this and I want to see what the hype is about.
Next is the Sugar Lip treatment in Tulip by FRESH which unfortunately can't be shipped to the UK, but I'm going to try and get next time I'm in a European Sephora :(

I really need to get a decent pair of eyelash curlers and the Shiseido curlers have such an iconic status it would be silly not! Finally, there is the Kat Von D tattoo eye liner- another item which has been given an almost Iconic status from many Beauty bloggers. And yes I've fallen the hype and want it!

Do you have any of these things? Or any recommendations for when I finally place a Sephora order?

Halloween treats

Halloween is coming and I've just bought a pumpkin- we'll see how the carving goes!! Around this time of year all the themed products come out and I love them; I am a bit of a sucker for themed things! So I thought I'd share some of my Halloween/ Autumn themed goodies that I've been loving lately.
I'm one of those people that becomes a little bit obsessed with Starbuck's Pumpkin Spiced latte as soon as it comes out and when I saw this hand poured pumpkin chestnut pie flavoured candle on Etsy I had to have it! Smells so good!
Next would be the so sweet, but so glittery pumpkin bubble bars from Lush. Can't wait to try these- they also smell lovely as they're made with lime, juniper and grapefruit oil.

Lastly this black whitening toothpaste from Beverly Hills Formula made with charcoal- V. Halloween-y :) The black takes a bit of getting used to, but I actually really like this!

And that's a little bit of Pedro the pumpkin in the corner- PS. if you want to see how his face came out head over to my instagram @daniellar23 to see!

Healthy Choco-nut bites

So I keep seeing everyone and their mum blog about these, calling them anything from protein balls to raw chocolate balls. Well this is my take on them- that I've been making for a few months and really like. I think I've got the recipe perfected now, so though I'd share...

I think I'm addicted to Barry M Gelly polishes?

Do any of you find that when you love something you keep buying more of it? Barry M Gelly polishes are a prime example of this (in my case anyway). Normally when I like a brand I'll buy a few things from them. But I just can't seem to keep away from the Barry M counter whenever I go into Boots- and they keep adding more and more pretty Gelly polishes!!

Above are my favourites- yes I have more :s. Probably about 11 in total, just of Barry M Gelly polishes. Think I should downsize soon to be honest!
From L-R: Plum, Prickly Pear, Green berry, Blueberry (came out a bit bright in this pic!), Blackberry, Lychee and Passionfruit.
I love those they're all named after fruits!

Do any of you have a brand you can't stop buying? Please tell me I'm not the only one!

Autumn rose make up look

I've been loving the rose/gold tones of the Naked 3 palette recently and I think they're perfect for autumn. I've been using the Limit shade for a lid colour then Nooner for a corner colour, and Darkside for a corner shade then blend out. Then Strange as a brow highlight and on the inner corners.
Then for a completely 'rose' look, I've been wearing it with my NARS Douceur blush, Rimmel 'Perfectly Plum' eye liner and Rimmel 'Apocalips' in Celestial as I think they compliment each other quite well.
To finish off I've also using my Rimmel Wake me Up concealer (I can't remember what shade this is!) and my Soap and Glory 'Thick and Fast' mascara.

What's your favourite autumn look? What products have you been using a lot of recently?
PS. I'm a little bit obsessed with my new Primarni bedsheets- They have woodland animals on them :)

Autumn wishlist!

I know there's still quite a lot of summer left, but the nights are getting longer already and it's been colder= I look at Autumn fashion (which is my favourite of all the seasons). It doesn't help that all the shops have bought out their lovely A/W things!

I've been meaning to get some new brown/tan Chelsea boots for aages and these Topshop ones are so lovely, I really like the pleated panels. The kimono and dress I just love as I think they'll go with so many outfit and looks- for work or out. And the trench... ah I want this trench so much! I've been wanting one for a few years now and this Zara one is exactly what I've been looking for!
What have you all been looking at for Autumn- or are you still in Summer mode!?

Going to the beach, beach

So I've been meaning to write this for a while now; a few weeks ago I went to the beach as it so was lovely and sunny. I'm lucky that I only live an hour and a but from quite a few beaches on the S/east coat of England, so there are lots to choose from!

I thought I'd an OOTD of what I was planning on wearing- perfect beach attire if you ask me :)

The t-shirt is one I was kindly send be Protest Clothing and I think it's the perfect beach tee. The relaxed fit and cool floral print looked great with my Very old denim shorts- and and much loved Aldo sandals. I finished off the outfit with some sunnies (and took a cardi in my bag. It is the UK after all!)

Asparagus, pea and mint risotto

So it's been quite a while since I've done a food post (or any post in general-my bad), and I was making this last week and thought it would be a good one to share on here as I love risotto in general but this one is my fav summer one.
The ingredients are simple: risotto rice, a bunch of asparagus, an onion, garden peas, bunch of fresh mint, lemon juice, white wine, stock, seasoning and pamesan. Throw in however much you want or each ingredient just make sure you have enough stock/rice ratio.
First fry the onion, asparagus, peas, seasoning and half the mint in olive oil on quite a hight heat until the onions are soften and slightly browned. While doing this boil the kettle to make the stock and add the wine while it's still on a high heat so it can cook off.
Then it's time to turn the heat down and add the rice while stirring so you can coat it in all the flavours. Finally you want to add about half the stock, some lemon juice and the rest of the mint and gradually stir in the rest over about 20-30 mins, while the rice and mixtures becomes a creamy consistency.
Then grate loads of parmesan over and voila-risotto :)

What's you favourite risotto to make? Any tips and tricks to share?
